The CEO & Director of Beta Healthcare International Limited, Dr Sanjay Advani was named the “CEO of the Year” at the annual Company of the Year Awards (COYA) annual presentation and gala dinner held at the Safari Park Hotel on 4th November 2016.

The Company of the Year Awards is an annual exercise carried out by the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) to identify competitiveness and efficiency among organizations using a globally-recognized business framework known as Operational Performance Index (OPI). OPI measures the performance of businesses against seven key indicators which include Leadership and Management, Human Resource Focus, Customer Orientation and Marketing, Financial Management, Innovation, Information Technology and Knowledge Management, Corporate Citizenship and Environment and Productivity and Quality.
The judging panel lauded Dr. Sanjay Advani for inculcating a performance based corporate culture whilst providing his team the space to initiate ideas for further improvement and growth.
Further, Dr. Sanjay Advani was praised for the company’s strong governance structures, succession planning and consultative leadership approach. Under his management, the organization’s profitability has progressively improved, attaining market leadership position in East Africa within the pharmaceutical Industry.

Corporate Citizenship & Environment Award
Beta Healthcare International Limited was also awarded the “Corporate Citizenship & Environment Award”, which is owed to its robust CCE policy, full compliance to regulatory requirements and Elaborate Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Principles.
Speaking at the awards ceremony, Dr. Sanjay Advani noted that the award was a testament to the company’s commitment to provide high quality, yet affordable medicines / products. He dedicated the award to his teams and customers whose support is pivotal to the Company.
