Shelys Pharmaceuticals Ltd, a member of the Aspen Group of Companies, is a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company in East Africa. We are seeking to recruit individuals with experience as machine operators and having knowledge of production procedures.

 

Desired Profile

Education: BE/ B.Tech – In Mechanical/ Chemical engineering with 8+ years of experience or

Diploma in Mechanical / Chemical engineering with 10 + years of experience in engineering department with any reputed API / Pharma Formulation Company 

 

Duties & responsibilities

 

Must have hands on experience of in day to day engineering activities of Pharma formulation production equipment of Capsules, Ointment, Tableting lines (Granulation & Compression), Liquid lines  ( Manufacturing & Filling ) & Packaging lines. Should familiar with HVAC systems, purified water system, major utilities like, water treatment plants, Air compressors, Chillers, FO Boilers Etc.

 

Must have work experience on RMG , FBE , FBD , Lifters, Loaders, Closed granulation lines , Auto coaters, Tablet compression machines ( D/B/DB/BB Tooling) , Sachet filling , octagonal & Cantilever blenders, Blister packing machines , Coding machines , Bottle washing machines , Filling machines , packing machines etc.

 

Implementation of in house projects: Monitoring projects with respect to cost, resource deployment, time over-runs, quality compliance and manpower planning to ensure timely execution of projects

Required Candidate profile

·         Functional job knowledge, Excellent Troubleshooting ability

·         Cost Consciousness, Time Management & Planning Skills

·         Commanding communication skills & ability to influence and strong leadership.    

·         Good exposure of Multiple packing lines - Blister, Bottles etc.

·         Good Managerial exposure

·         Working knowledge on SAP , MS Office , Auto cad must

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Planning & Execution of Preventive & Predictive Maintenance activities of Process, HVAC & Utility equipment.

·         Reduction of equipment Downtime, Increase Operational Efficiency, Reduce the Risk of Expensive Maintenance, Increase the Life of Equipment

·         Maintaining & control the inventory levels of spares / consumables.

·         Reducing Costs without Compromising on Reliability & Increasing the Uptime & Lifecycle of Equipment's

·         Strategies for avoiding poor maintenance practices which lead to plant incidents

·         Execution of necessary validations before handing over the equipment / facility for practical operation.

·         Verification of quantity and quality of works done by all contractors.

·         Execution of all mechanical activities related to the major modification / expansion projects as per the schedules.

·         Ensuring work permits raised for Hot work, work at height, vessel entry, general work permits etc.

·         Preparation of SOPs and Protocols time to time as per the plant equipment requirements.

·         Preparation of Bill of materials and Procurement of the Materials as Per P&ID

·         Coordinating with production blocks in charge related to documentation, preventive & Predictive maintenance

·         Ensuring engineering requisitions entered in SAP.

·         Preparation of schedules for major modifications and expansion project works.

·         Electrical & Maintenance support will be add on advantage.

·         Minimizing performance bottlenecks for high productivity with maximization of men, material, cost & machine.

·         Implementing maintenance schedules and carrying out periodic checks to ensure performance of various equipment and maintaining requisite documents for the same.

·         Utility modifications/ energy conservation, Planning/ implementing technological changes to enhance efficiency equipment.
Modifications in equipment, process flow, working practices, consumables, etc. for controlling & reducing conversion cost per unit produced.
